We present to you a presentation on the features and potential of phage therapy in the treatment and prevention of microbial infections in the practice of family physicians and general practitioners. The presentation was prepared by Nikolai Mikhailovich Martynyuk, clinical pharmacologist (Kharkiv).

The report, in particular, discusses the role of the human microbiome, the importance of its preservation, the features of action, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of phage preparations, and the possibilities of using phage therapy in the treatment of acute and chronic infectious diseases.
