Cystitis and urethritis

Frequent, painful urination, mild fever, cloudy urine with blood, pain above the pubic bone and in the lower back—these symptoms usually indicate the development of cystitis, an inflammation of the bladder. With urethritis, urination is painful, but its frequency does not increase. Urethritis often accompanies cystitis. Cystitis can be predisposed by injuries to the bladder mucosa, venous congestion in the pelvic veins, hormonal imbalances, vitamin deficiencies, hypothermia, and other factors. Urinary tract infections are usually caused by pathogenic E. coli and staphylococci. Without adequate treatment, acute cystitis can become chronic with frequent relapses.
Treatment of cystitis and urethritis includes drinking plenty of fluids, antispasmodic therapy, and antibacterial therapy. Treatment of cystitis with bacteriophages is appropriate for both acute and chronic forms of the disease, especially when traditional urinary antiseptics and antibiotics are ineffective. The most common pathogens causing infectious cystitis are destroyed by bacteriophages, which are part of the drug Pyofag®. Bacteriophages destroy pathogenic bacteria without affecting beneficial microflora. Furthermore, bacteriophages stimulate factors of specific and nonspecific immunity, which is especially important in the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases.
The drug Pyofag® for cystitis and urethritis is administered orally at an age-appropriate dose 3 times a day 1 hour before food intake for 14-20 days, depending on the results of a control urine bacteriological analysis. If necessary, the course of treatment is repeated.
