Bacteriophages as an alternative treatment for antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections
On December 16, 2017, an expanded meeting of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Neonatologists and a scientific and practical conference entitled "Reserves for Reducing Disability in Children Born Prematurely and Children at Risk" took place in Kyiv. The event was attended by heads of the Association's regional branches and representative offices, chief neonatology specialists from regional health departments, and heads and faculty of specialized departments of pediatrics, neonatology, and anesthesiology.
Vadim Poniatovsky, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Microbiology, Virology, and Immunology at the Bogomolets National Medical University (Kyiv), presented a paper titled "Bacteriophages as an Alternative Treatment for Antibiotic-Resistant Bacterial Infections" at the conference.
